Project overview

A building-wide LED lighting upgrade and a separate fire alarm upgrade at a public building in north-west London, delivered for its facilities management provider.

SCOPE

Replace the existing lighting throughout the building with energy-efficient LED fittings and controls, and upgrade the fire alarm system, without closing the building or disrupting its daily operation.

WHAT WE DID

We planned the work zone by zone around the building’s operating hours and security rules, with out-of-hours working where areas could not be released during the day. Old fittings and alarm devices were removed and recycled, new equipment installed and tested, and each area handed back fully working before the next was started.

OUTCOME

Lower energy use and maintenance costs, better light levels, and a modern fire alarm system, all delivered with the building open throughout.
