Standby generator set in a plant room

Generators

Servicing, load bank testing, repairs and installation of standby generators.

NICEIC approved

Certified to BS 7671

What’s included

Done once. Done right.

Planned servicing and inspections

Load bank testing

Fault finding and repairs

New generators and changeover switches

A standby generator only helps if it starts when the power fails. We service and test standby generators, carry out load bank tests, fix faults, and install new generators and changeover equipment, keeping records for your compliance and insurers.

Standby generators that start when they are needed

A standby generator sits idle for months and then has to start within seconds. Without regular servicing and load testing, batteries fail, fuel degrades and changeover switches stick, and the first anyone knows is during a real power cut. We keep generators ready and prove it with records.

Our engineers service and repair generator sets from FG Wilson, Cummins, Pramac, Kohler SDMO, Perkins and Caterpillar, with Deep Sea Electronics and ComAp controllers and automatic transfer switches from ABB, Socomec and Schneider Electric. We carry out load bank testing, fuel polishing and battery replacement, and install new generators and changeover equipment.

What a generator service covers

Engine service: oil, filters, coolant and belts

Battery, charger and starting system checks

Fuel quality testing and fuel polishing

Control panel, alarms and automatic transfer switch tests

Off-load and on-load run tests, with load bank testing

Service report and run log for your compliance records

Tested under real load

A generator that runs off-load every week can still fail under real demand. We recommend an annual load bank test that puts the set under controlled load for a sustained period, so cooling, fuel delivery and alternator performance are proven. Results are recorded in Simpro and reported to you with any recommendations.

We maintain standby generators for courts, data rooms, schools and public buildings across London, the South East, East Anglia and the Midlands.

Why it matters

The right engineer.
First time.

01

Proven under real load

A standby set that only ever idles can fail when it is finally needed. We load bank test and service generators so they start, take the load and keep running.

02

Out-of-hours when needed

We regularly work evenings and weekends, so testing does not disrupt your building.

03

Every job documented

Service sheets, test results and photos are sent on completion for your compliance records.
