Plugs with PAT test labels

PAT Testing

Portable appliance testing with labelled appliances and a full asset register.

NICEIC approved

Certified to BS 7671

What’s included

Done once. Done right.

Test and label every appliance

Asset register

Minor repairs on the day

Scheduled around your site

We test and label portable appliances across offices, schools and public buildings, record every item on an asset register and fix or flag failed items, scheduled around your working day.

Portable appliance testing with a register you can rely on

Kettles, computers, extension leads and workshop tools all need checking to keep your electrical equipment safe and your records in order. We test every appliance, label it with the result and date, and produce a full asset register so you know what you have and when it is next due.

Our engineers use calibrated Seaward, Megger and Kewtech testers and follow the IET Code of Practice, applying risk-based test intervals rather than testing everything every year. Minor repairs such as replacing a plug or a damaged lead are done on the day, and failed items are removed from service and reported.

What PAT testing includes

Visual inspection of each appliance, plug and lead

Earth continuity, insulation and functional tests

Pass or fail label with the test date

Asset register with location and next test date

Minor repairs on the day

Failed items isolated and reported

Scheduled around your working day

Testing means briefly unplugging equipment, so we work desk by desk around your staff or outside hours where that suits better. On multi-site contracts we can combine PAT with fixed wire testing and emergency lighting tests to reduce visits. Results are logged in Simpro and sent as a register you can file.

We provide PAT testing in schools, offices, courts and public buildings across London, the South East, East Anglia and the Midlands.
